BBC Sport has agreed a new contract to broadcast the London Marathon to 2030 - the year of the iconic race's 50th edition.
The partnership with London Marathon Events, spanning more than five decades, is one of the longest-standing broadcast agreements in British sport.
The 2025 event takes place on Sunday and organisers hope to break the world record for the most finishers in a marathon with more than 56,000 people expected to run the 26.2 miles from Greenwich Park to The Mall.
Alex Kay-Jelski, Director of BBC Sport, said: "Extending our deal with London Marathon Events strengthens one of BBC Sport's most loved partnerships.
"It's a cornerstone of our world-class athletics coverage and the incredible, emotional stories of people running to change lives is one of the highlights of the year."
Hugh Brasher, CEO of London Marathon Events, said: "Our wonderful partnership with BBC Sport dates back to the very first edition of the London Marathon in 1981 and we are delighted to extend our partnership to the 50th edition in 2030.
"Our work together has been extraordinary, showcasing fantastic races, inspiring millions to get active and profiling the amazing reasons that compel people to run, take on this challenge and in turn raised more than £1.3 billion for charity."
Coverage of the 2025 London Marathon on Sunday starts from 08:30 BST live on BBC One, as well as on BBC iPlayer and the BBC Sport website and app.
As part of the new contract, BBC Sport will also show coverage of other London Marathon Events including The Big Half, the Vitality London 10,000 and the Vitality Westminster Mile on digital platforms.
