Wallace: Extension to 31 August Afghanistan withdrawal deadline 'unlikely'

UK Defence Secretary Ben Wallace has said it is unlikely that British troops will be able to remain in Afghanistan past the 31 August deadline that has been set for their withdrawal.

"Time is people" in the rush to evacuate those in danger following the Taliban takeover, he added.
