Ethiopia's Tigist Assefa broke the women's marathon world record as she won Sunday's race in Berlin.
The 29-year-old, who also won last year's race, crossed the line in a time of two hours, 11 minutes and 53 seconds.
Kenya's Brigid Kosgei set the previous record of 2:14.04 in Chicago in 2019.
Double Olympic champion Eliud Kipchoge was the men's winner for a record fifth time in Berlin with a run of 2:02.42, the fourth fastest of all time.
