Britain's Dan Bethell won his second consecutive Paralympic badminton silver medal after a heart-breaking loss to India's Kumar Nitesh in the men's SL3 singles final in Paris.

The Briton had match point at 21-20 ahead in the decider but lost 14-21 21-18 23-21.

The 28-year-old had finished as runner-up when the sport made its debut in Tokyo in 2021 and had not dropped a game on his way to a second consecutive final.

His team-mate Krysten Coombs goes in the SH6 singles final later on Monday evening as he bids to become the first Briton to win a Paralympic gold.
