Broncos wide receiver Reynolds victim of shooting

Denver Broncos wide receiver Josh Reynolds was the victim of a shooting last week.

The 29-year-old was taken to hospital in the early hours of the morning on 18 October for minor injuries following the incident and then later released.

Reynolds was reportedly, external shot once in the left arm and once in the back of the head.

Denver Police confirmed two men were arrested shortly after the shooting and are being held under investigation for attempted first-degree murder and first-degree assault.

"Josh Reynolds was a victim of a shooting Friday in Denver and received treatment for minor injuries," said a statement from the Broncos.

"Out of respect for the legal process we will defer further comment on this matter to the authorities."

Reynolds is currently on the Broncos' injured reserve after surgery for a fractured finger sustained against the Las Vegas Raiders earlier this month.

He has 12 catches for 183 yards and a touchdown this season.

Overall, Reynolds has 232 receptions for 3,116 yards and 20 touchdown catches in 112 games (54 starts) in eight seasons with the Los Angeles Rams (2017-20), Tennessee Titans (2021), Detroit Lions (2021-23) and the Broncos.
