Brookes wins Big Air World Cup bronze

Brookes is one of British snowsport's rising stars

Britain's Mia Brookes started her season in style with bronze in the Big Air World Cup in Chur, Switzerland.

Brookes led after two of her three jumps with the best two to count.

But Japanese pair Kokomo Murase and Reira Iwabuchi both out-scored Brookes with their final jumps to overtake the British teenager.

Murase took gold with a total of 179.25 with Iwabuchi scoring 175.50 and Brookes's 169.75 enough for bronze.
