Wales will be without influential forwards Ceri Holland and Hannah Cain for Tuesday's Nations League qualifier in Denmark.

Holland, 25, played for 86 minutes and left the ground on crutches.

Cain played 89 minutes despite appearing to jar her knee in the first-half.

The 24-year-old Leicester forward missed the start of the competition in September through injury, just nine months after recovering from a serious knee problem that kept her out of action for over a year.

Holland's club Liverpool said their current Player of the Year is expected to undergo an MRI scan on Monday on a suspected calf injury.

Wales are hoping to avoid relegation from the top tier of the Nations League having suffered back-to-back 5-1 defeats against Denmark and Germany and were already without injured Sunderland midfielder Rebecca Rowe.
