Donald Trump's hush-money criminal trial in New York continues, after court had Wednesday off
David Pecker, former publisher of the tabloid National Enquirer, will resume his evidence about a "catch-and-kill" scheme
On Tuesday, Pecker told the court that potentially damaging stories about Trump were bought and buried before the 2016 election as an "agreement between friends"
Judge Juan Merchan could also rule whether Trump violated a gag order which was imposed to stop verbal attacks on witnesses and court staff
Trump has said he is defending himself from political attacks, while the prosecution wants $10,000 in fines for his social media posts
Trump is accused of trying to cover up a $130,000 (£104,500) payment to porn star Stormy Daniels before he won the presidency in 2016
He has pleaded not guilty to 34 counts of falsifying business records and also denies having any sexual encounter with Daniels
