Celine Dion Grammy surprise and Jay Z backs Beyonce

Celine Dion surprised fans at this year's Grammy Awards by making a special appearance to present the album of the year trophy.

The singer got a rapturous reception when she emerged on stage and announced Taylor Swift as the winner of the top award.

Swift became the first performer to win the prize four times but seemingly snubbed Dion on stage by hugging everyone else except the big ballad singer.

Jay Z was honoured with the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award for his contribution to the music industry and used his speech to speak out about his wife Beyonce having never been awarded album of the year at the Grammys.

Miley Cyrus and Billie Eilish took the other top awards at Sunday's ceremony.
