Chelsea have signed France striker Christopher Nkunku from RB Leipzig for £52m.

The 25-year-old scored 16 goals in 25 games in the Bundesliga last season.

Nkunku, who has won 10 caps for France, is manager Mauricio Pochettino's first signing since he took charge in May.

"I am incredibly happy to be joining Chelsea," said Nkunku. "A big effort was made to bring me to the club."

FFP is an absolute joke, presuming he is on a 12 year contract or something

For all the questions of Man City the fact is all the big clubs, with incredible finance can spend whatever they want. Good luck to Chelsea, I hope it works for them.
But let's stop pretending FFP matters, it doesn't. Better to focus on ensuring that the wider football pyramid survives. That should be the focus

chelsea policy seems to be to buy players and account for them for over six years or so . It is all an accounting excercise. The creative accountancy of Chelsea does not show any friut in the games yet , but may be over the medium term pay divident to this corportation owned by American and Iranian interest

Send in the FFP inspectors, UEFA. And make it clear to Boehly that he can't be bunged £500m by Saudi PIF buying over-priced, overpaid players in an insolvent league.

Excellent player who finished the Bundesliga season incredibly strong. As long as they play him in the right role 52mil could be a steal

Good player but he will end up being the same as Havertz, Werner and Lukaku. Seems like Chelsea are just buying for the sake of it.

Yet they still haven’t broken Financial Fair Play rules! What a farce. No integrity and no class.
