A Colorado officer has been found guilty of criminally negligent homicide in the death of 23-year-old Elijah McClain, while another was acquitted.
Randy Roedema was unanimously convicted by a jury on Thursday. Jason Rosenblatt was cleared of the charges.
Mr McClain died after he was put in a chokehold and injected with a powerful sedative on 24 August 2019.
Prosecutors had accused both officers of using excessive force during a stop of the unarmed black man.
