Both Great Britain teams won their opening two games at the Flag Football World Championships on Tuesday.

GB's women came into the event as the world's fourth-ranked nation, having won last year's European Championships.

And they made a dominant start in Finland, with Grace Conway scoring four touchdowns in a 46-6 win over the Czech Republic, before she claimed another three in a 41-0 win over Israel.

GB's men, ranked 15th in the world, began their campaign with a 48-12 win over Georgia, which included three touchdowns from Henry Williams.

They then led Sweden 32-8 at half-time before holding on for a 32-26 victory, which means they and the women's team have already qualified for the last 16.

GB's men complete their group campaign against Germany on Wednesday while the women face Panama.

The four-day event in Lahti runs until Friday and is the first global tournament since flag football was added to the programme for the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.
