Golden Globes 2024: How to watch the awards-tipped films

Awards season will move up a gear on Monday with the nominations for the Golden Globes - the first major ceremony to announce its shortlist.

The Bafta Film Awards and the SAG Awards will follow early next year, before the season's main event, the Oscars, takes place on 10 March.

Many of this year's awards-tipped films premiered at the autumn film festivals in early September, the start of a long awards campaign which will see cast and crew attend promotional events to build momentum for their films.

Here are a few of the movies which could be in contention this year - and where UK audiences can watch them.

What's it about? - The true story of how Michael Jordan, as a young basketball star, was persuaded to launch the Air Jordan trainers in collaboration with Nike.

Who's in it? - Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Jason Bateman, Marlon Wayans and Viola Davis.

Where can I see it? - On Amazon Prime Video.

What's it about? - A chance encounter between two young men who live in a tower block prompts one of them to reflect on his life and his relationship with his parents.

Who's in it? - Andrew Scott, Paul Mescal, Claire Foy and Jamie Bell.

Where can I see it? - In cinemas from 26 January.

What's it about? - A black author becomes frustrated when publishers only want him to write about issues relating to his race. He jokingly writes a novel which plays up to black stereotypes, only to find it becomes a bestseller.

Who's in it? - Jeffrey Wright, Tracee Ellis Ross, Issa Rae and Sterling K Brown.

Where can I see it? - In cinemas from 2 February.

What's it about? - A woman is accused of murdering her husband, after he is found dead in the snow outside their house. The only other person nearby when he fell to the ground from the top storey was her visually impaired son.

Who's in it? - Sandra Hüller, Swann Arlaud, Milo Machado-Graner.

Where can I see it? - It was released in cinemas in early November.

What's it about? - The famous doll leaves her kingdom of toys and enters the real world with her partner Ken. They are confronted with the realities of human life, and when they return, Ken uses what he's learned to set about implementing a patriarchy.

Who's in it? - Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, America Ferrera and Will Ferrell.

What's it about? - Capturing biker culture in the late 1960s, a group of motorcyclists travel around the US at high speeds - getting into a few scrapes along the way.

Who's in it? - Jodie Comer, Austin Butler and Tom Hardy.

Where can I see it? - It had been due for a cinema release on 1 December, however its UK launch was delayed after the previous distributor pulled out.

What's it about? - Previously a hit Broadway musical, this screen adaptation of Alice Walker's novel follows the struggles of African-American woman living in the US south during the early 1900s, where they encounter prejudice and domestic violence.

Who's in it? - Fantasia Barrino, Colman Domingo, Taraji P. Henson, Danielle Brooks.

Where can I see it? - In cinemas from 26 January.

What's it about? - Enzo Ferrari, reeling from the death of his son as his car company faces bankruptcy, enters his racing team in the 1957 Mille Miglia race across Italy.

Who's in it? - Adam Driver, Penélope Cruz, Shailene Woodley.

Where can I see it? - In cinemas from 26 December.

What's it about? - A grumpy history teacher must stay at his boarding school to look after the pupils who aren't going home for the holidays - a group known as the holdovers.

Who's in it? - Paul Giamatti, Dominic Sessa and Da'Vine Joy Randolph.

Where can I see it? - In cinemas from 19 January.

What's it about? - A contract killer accidentally shoots an innocent woman, leading to a chain of events which take him around the world trying to track down the people who hired him.

Who's in it? - Michael Fassbender, Tilda Swinton and Charles Parnell.

Where can I see it? - On Netflix, available now.

What's it about? - Set in 1920s Oklahoma, members of an Osage tribe are brutally murdered as white settlers attempt to move in, fuelled by greed over the oil on their land.

Who's in it? - Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro and Lily Gladstone.

Where can I see it? - In cinemas, and soon on Apple TV+

What's it about? - US conductor Leonard Bernstein falls in love with Costa Rican actress Felicia Montealegre.

Who's in it? - Bradley Cooper and Carey Mulligan.

What's it about? - An actress spends time with a woman she's planning to play on screen - who was involved in a tabloid scandal over her relationship with a 13-year-old boy she taught.

What's it about? - A social worker sees her simple and structured life disrupted when a man with early onset dementia follows her home from their high school reunion.

What's it about? - French Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte leads his country into battle while grappling with his complex relationship with his wife Josephine.

What's it about? - Diana Nyad attempts to become the first woman to swim from Cuba to Florida without the use of a shark cage

What's it about? - J. Robert Oppenheimer leads a team of scientists who design and develop the atomic bomb during World War II, but later struggles with his conscience over what he has created.

What's it about? - Isabel Wilkerson, author of Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents, investigates the genesis of injustice.

What's it about? - A woman who emigrated from South Korea to the US as a child reconnects with the man who was her best friend at school.
