Eclair Surf will make the cut for Saturday's Grand National after it was announced Caribean Boy will not run.
Owner Simon Munir said Caribean Boy, a 50-1 chance trained by Nicky Henderson, had pulled a hamstring.
A final field of 40 horses, and four reserves, for the National will be announced on Thursday morning.
The 14-1 shot Eclair Surf, trained by Emma Lavelle, was number 41 and is now guaranteed a run, with Fortescue next if there are further withdrawals.
Spectators will return to the meeting for the first time in three years as the fixture begins on Thursday.
