New York City mayoral candidates Zohran Mamdani, Andrew Cuomo and Curtis Sliwa took the stage for a fiery first debate at Rockefeller Center.
The candidates debated a wide range of topics, including the Gaza war, the National Guard, affordability and security in NYC. During the lightning-question round, the candidates were asked about their living expenses.
The second mayoral debate is scheduled to take place on 22 October.
