Joseph Hungbo's first-half strike was his first goal for HuddersfieldNeil Warnock's second spell as Huddersfield Town boss got off to the perfect start as they came from behind to beat Birmingham City for their first Championship victory of 2023.
The Blues led early on through Troy Deeney's close-range finish from Juninho Bacuna's in-swinging cross, but Joseph Hungbo's stunning curling strike into the top corner following a swift counter-attack made it 1-1 after an even first half.
And the Terriers, who were winless in seven in the league this year and four points from safety before kick-off, went ahead when Jaheim Headley latched onto keeper Nicholas Bilokapic's long punt forward and coolly beat John Ruddy.
Both sides then had chances in an increasingly open game, but Huddersfield hung on after 14 minutes of injury time to give the 74-year-old Warnock a memorable win and take the Terriers to within two points of safety.
