Summary
The Post Office inquiry resumes today and is due to hear from former investigator Jon Longman
Longman was involved in the case of former sub-postmistress Seema Misra, who was wrongly convicted and jailed while pregnant in 2010
Between 1999 and 2015, the Post Office itself took many cases to court, prosecuting 700 people due to the faulty Horizon IT system
Some were convicted and sent to prison, while many others were left financially ruined and lost their jobs, businesses and homes. Some died while waiting for justice
The inquiry will also hear from Allan Leighton, who served as chairman of Royal Mail from 2002 to 2009. Royal Mail owned the Post Office during that time
During much of Leighton's tenure, Adam Crozier served as Royal Mail's chief executive officer. He told the inquiry last week he was not aware the Post Office conducted prosecutions
