Internet infrastructure firm Cloudflare hit by outage

A number of websites including social media platform X have been affected by an outage affecting internet infrastructure firm, Cloudflare.

Outage monitoring site Downdetector flagged thousands of reports of issues shortly after 1130 GMT on Tuesday.

"Cloudflare is aware of, and investigating an issue which potentially impacts multiple customers," the company said in a note on its service status dashboard at 1148 UTC.

"Further detail will be provided as more information becomes available."
