Justice Department investigating Democrat Cori Bush's spending on security

Democratic House member Cori Bush is being investigated by the Justice Department for alleged misuse of federal security money, her office confirmed.

US media outlet Punchbowl reported the House Sergeant at Arms was subpoenaed for a probe into her campaign's spending on security.

Ms Bush said that she is fully cooperating with the investigation.

She has served as a member of the US House of Representatives since 2021.
