Lib Dems want Ofwat watchdog scrapped - Davey

Lib Dem leader Sir Ed Davey has called on the government to scrap the water watchdog Ofwat.

In a speech to party members, Sir Ed said Ofwat was an "accomplice" to water companies dumping sewage.

In September untreated sewage was discharged into the sea at beaches across the UK.
