Liz Truss resignation: Lib Dem leader on Tory leadership contest

Sir Ed Davey has criticised the records of Liz Truss and Boris Johnson while PMs, as Conservatives look for a new leader.

The Lib Dem leader said the Tories "need to go" as he called for a general election with his party backing a windfall tax, claiming mortgage rates would not have risen so high if the government had introduced one.
