Man of Steel Lewis suffers injury in Hull KR win

Hull KR battled to victory over promoted Wakefield Trinity but lost Man of Steel Mikey Lewis to an ankle injury.

The visitors took the lead in fortuitous circumstances when Lewis' lofted kick got caught in the wind and hit the crossbar before dropping for Tom Davies to scoop up and score the 100th try of his career.

Max Jowitt kicked a penalty to get the home side on the board before the break and Tom Johnstone dived over in the corner to level the score.

Half-back Lewis powered over to quickly give Hull KR the lead but was injured in the act of scoring as he got caught up under a tackler.

Despite Oliver Pratt going over in the corner with time running out, Lewis' try proved to be enough.

With his ankle totally wrapped up, Lewis managed to play on for a period, but eventually hobbled off the field with just over 10 minutes to play.
