Pramac Racing's Jorge Martin clinched a dramatic fifth victory of the season in the Thailand Grand Prix on Sunday.
KTM's Brad Binder was demoted a place for exceeding track limits in the final lap, moving Francesco Bagnaia into second place and the South African third.
It was the fourth-closest finish in premier class history, with just 0.253 seconds separating the three riders.
Martin closed the gap to Bagnaia in the overall standings to 13 points.
The Spaniard began the day on pole, having set a lap record on Saturday, and managed to hold off both Bagnaia and Binder, despite them all interchanging positions during the final three laps.
"I'm so happy, this feeling is amazing," said Martin. "Today I didn't have better pace than them. I had to put in more than 100%," Martin said in a post-race interview.
"The pace was great, tyre management was great. The hard moments are tough but they make you stronger."
Binder snatched the lead in the final four laps but Martin made his move with a stunning overtake in the penultimate lap to claim the win.
Italian Bagnaia initially started sixth on the grid and struggled in the early stages, but recovered and remains in control of the championship leaderboard with three races to go.
