Claudia Webbe was found guilty last year of harassing Michelle Merritt

An MP has lost her appeal against her conviction for harassing a woman.

Claudia Webbe, former Labour MP for Leicester East, was given a suspended prison sentence for harassing Michelle Merritt between September 2018 and April 2020.

Her trial heard Webbe was jealous of Ms Merritt's relationship with her then partner Lester Thomas.

The 57-year-old was again found guilty by Judge Deborah Taylor and two magistrates at Southwark Crown Court.
