Millwall striker Kevin Nisbet is undergoing a medical with Aberdeen after agreeing a season-long loan.

The Scotland international left Hibernian in June last year to join the English Championship club for a reported £2m fee.

Having scored five goals in 29 appearances last term, the 27-year-old is making his way back to the Scottish Premiership 14 months after his departure.

If all the relevant paperwork is completed in time, Nisbet could be in the Dons squad for Sunday's home league match against Kilmarnock.

After prolific goalscoring spells in Scotland's lower leagues with Raith Rovers and Dunfermline Athletic, Nisbet joined Hibs in 2020.

In 101 games for the Leith club, he netted on 39 occasions before moving to Millwall last summer.

Since making his Scotland debut in 2021, the striker has gone on to gain a total of 11 caps, scoring once, but he has not featured in recent squads.

Nisbet has endured significant periods out injured across the past two seasons, but he returned at the end of last term and was a second-half substitute in Millwall's opening day defeat to Watford earlier this month.

The forward would be tasked with helping to fill the void left by Bojan Miovski, who recently left Aberdeen for a club record fee to join Girona.
