Suella Braverman has insisted there was no top secret or market sensitive information in a statement she sent from her private email address.
The home secretary sent a draft written ministerial statement to the employee of a backbench MP.
She was forced to resign as home secretary by Liz Truss after the leak came to light, before being reappointed by Rishi Sunak six days later.
Ms Braverman said the document "did not contain any information relating to national security, the intelligence agencies, cyber security or law enforcement".
