Top 14 cars all within a second of each other, F1 has never been so close. No point including Max cos he is unbeatable and at least 1/2 second faster than any driver regardless of car type.

Verstappen made a mistake trying too hard and rattled by Perez who is on a roll.

There you go. I said it earlier. LEC just makes way to many mistakes to be considered at the level of Max, HAM or ALO.

Fast starting Hamilton to take out Verstappen on the second corner

Toys out the pram time for Max! Lol

Leclerc driving like a rookie on his flying lap is one way of keeping Max back in the pack.

could f1 tv directors not focus on fake fans screaming at the cameras for 5 seconds??!?!?!

Verstappen in 9th isn’t a problem anyway. All the other drivers have to move out the way for him.

    So he thinks anyway…

Really exciting qualifying. Red Bull aside the form book in the grid is so fluid race to race. Never in the history of the sport has the gap between grid been so tight.

Perez got a banker in Max didn't and paid the price . Leclerc's all or nothing approach proving costly today and not for the first time . Shocking qualifying for Hamilton and McLaren were even less competitive today than the Baku race despite upgrading their car . Lando looked very unhappy in his post qualy interview.

Sad to see an ex Champion in the twilight of his career. Lewis is one of the great F1 drivers of his generation - but unfortunately his key engineers moved across to the raging Bull during recent times. Yes, it's the engineers and the resources at their disposal that determine who becomes a champion. RIP Hammy.

    Wow, Hammy 13th !!!!!.
He's getting the results his talent deserves.

Verstappen should have finished his first lap even if ne was off pace. Need a time in case someone pushes too hard.

Stewards made it interesting tomorrow by not red flagging 20 seconds earlier.

Spanish speaking drivers in the top 3 qualifying. Well done to Perez, Alonso & Sainz. Unusual for Leclerc and Verstappen to make errors in Q3. Magnussen qualifying 4th was a surprise. An interesting race tomorrow ensues.

With that grid, we should be in for an interesting race, especially if it rains a little.

Can we assume, from now on, it is Le Crash instead of Crashstappen?

Well yes, the last time Verstappen crashed out of a race was 2021.

Hamilton was only as good as his car, really shows it this year

Win together, lose together. Fluff your lap with 3-4 mistakes and blame your team...

Might get an interesting race tomorrow now. Le Clerc should be competitive and the Alpines will get in the way.
