In the men's race, Olympic champion Yee finished fifth on his return to the competition.

The 27-year-old, who won triathlon gold at Paris 2024 and the world title later in the year, spent 2025 largely focused on marathon running and became the second-fasted Briton of all time in December.

Despite an 18-month absence from WTCS events, Yee finished just 44 seconds behind eventual winner Matthew Hauser, who became the first man to defend his title in Yokohoma.

Miguel Hidalgo was second and there was a sprint for third, with Luke Willian taking the final podium spot ahead of Vetle Thorn.

Yee's British compatriots Jack Willis and Max Stapley finished eighth and 15th respectively.

In the para racing events, GB's Henry Urand won gold in PTS3 with team-mate Ryan Taylor fifth, while Josh Landmann took sixth place in PTWC.

There was also a podium finish in the women's PTS4, with Hannah Moore earning a silver medal.
