Queen Elizabeth II: Tears and laughter as politicians pay tribute

MPs and peers have paid tribute to Queen Elizabeth II during a special session in the Houses of Parliament.

A minute’s silence was held in both the House of Commons and the House of Lords to remember the monarch’s contribution to public life.

Leaders from across the political spectrum then shared memories of their time with the Queen from throughout her historic reign.
