Scorecard

Scotland were denied victory by the rain during their one-day international against Oman in Dundee.

Having won the toss and chosen to bowl first, Scotland skittled the visitors for just 123, with debutant Jasper Davidson the pick of the bowlers, taking four wickets for 23 runs in his eight overs.

There were two wickets each for Brandon McMullen and Mark Watt, while Zeeshan Maqsood provided the only real resistance for Oman with 40 not out.

In reply, openers George Munsey and Charlie Tear batted with real purpose as they looked to beat the elements, putting on 83 for the first wicket before Munsey fell for 47.

McMullen was then dismissed for just one and the rain arrived soon after with the Scots just 25 runs short of their target and with more than 37 overs still to bat.

Richie Berrington's side have five more ODIs against Oman and Namibia this month as part of Cricket World Cup League 2, all being held at Forfarshire's Forthill ground.
