Rent freezes won't address housing problem - Labour

Labour's national campaign coordinator Shabana Mahmood was asked earlier about rent freezes - an idea that's been backed by Scottish Labour leader Anas Sarwar and Mayor of London Sadiq Khan.

She said building new homes will be a better way to "fix the problem" of housing shortfalls, explaining that other proposed solutions are a "tweak" which will not get to the "heart of the problem".
