Starmer: Sunak showing 'total lack of leadership'

The Labour leader has said the PM should suspend Conservative candidates accused of betting on the date of the next election.

Sir Keir Starmer said if they were Labour candidates they would be gone by now, and "out of the door".

A spokesperson for the Gambling Commission said: "Currently the Commission is investigating the possibility of offences concerning the date of the election.

This is an ongoing investigation, and the Commission cannot provide any further details at this time."
