About 100,000 civil servants are set to strike on the day the chancellor unveils the Spring Budget, the Public and Commercial Services union has said.
Mark Serwotka general secretary of the PCS, said the walkout would take place on 15 March amid an ongoing row over pay and conditions.
PCS has been calling for a 10% pay rise, better pensions, job security and no cuts to redundancy terms.
Members previously walked out on February 1.
