Supreme Court rules Rwanda return scheme is unlawful

Lord Reed has delivered the decision on the government’s appeal over its plan to send some asylum seekers to Rwanda.

In the Supreme Court, he said there was a risk genuine refugees could be sent to the country from which they have fled.

He concluded: "The home secretary's appeal is therefore dismissed."
