War in Ukraine absurd and evil, says UN chief

Antonio Guterres, the UN chief, is visiting sites around Kyiv that have been occupied by Russian troops.

In Borodyanka, north west of Kyiv, he spoke to reporters in front of buildings destroyed by strikes and shelling.

Mr Guterres said the site made him imagine what it would be like for his own family, calling the war in Ukraine unacceptable and an "absurdity in the 21st century."
