US President Joe Biden said that Donald Trump should be locked up “politically” during a visit to the Democratic Party's headquarters in New Hampshire on Tuesday.
The president was referencing a 2016 Trump campaign line, where crowds at Trump rallies would chant “lock her up”, referring to Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.
The Trump campaign quickly responded to Biden’s comments saying: "He and Kamala’s plan all along has been to politically persecute their opponent President Trump."
