Donald Trump and Zohran Mamdani exchanged kind words after an Oval Office meeting described by both as 'productive' and 'great'.

Mamdani said that the two discussed affordability, housing, and ways to better New York City.

The meeting between the two had been expected to be a showdown after months of heated rhetoric. Trump has in the past called Mamdani a 'communist', while Mamdani has referred to the president a 'fascist'.

When pressed on his past comments, Trump allowed Mamdani to call him a 'fascist'.
