Washington DC is set to a host a military parade on Saturday to mark the 250th anniversary of the US Army, which will coincide with President Donald Trump's 79th birthday.
The last time Washington DC hosted a military parade was in 1991 to mark the end of the Gulf War.
The event - which the Army has said could cost up to $45 million (£33 million) - will include about 6,600 soldiers, 150 vehicles, and 50 aircraft in the celebration.
The BBC's Bernd Debusmann explains the inspiration behind the president's military parade.
