Guro Reiten in action against Aston VillaChelsea have won the Women's FA Cup three times

Guro Reiten scored twice as holders Chelsea saw off fellow top-flight side Aston Villa to reach the fifth round of the Women's FA Cup.

Norway midfielder Reiten opened the scoring and had a hand in the second, earning the penalty that Pernille Harder converted before the break.

Fran Kirby set Reiten up for her second after the break to compete the win.

Ramona Petzelberger then scored a late consolation for Villa from the penalty spot.

Villa, who had England midfielder Jill Scott making her debut after a loan more from Manchester City, failed to seriously threaten before Petzelberger was fouled in the box by Niamh Charles and converted from the spot.

Just 55 days after beating Arsenal 3-0 at Wembley to win the delayed 2020-21 final, Chelsea started their latest campaign in equally dominant fashion.

Alsu Abdullina made her first start for Chelsea since arriving from Lokomotiv Moscow at the start of January.

The Russian's inclusion was one of four changes Emma Hayes made to the side that beat West Ham 2-0 on Wednesday to return to second in the Women's Super League table.

Jess Carter, who was among those brought in, created the opener for Reiten in the 18th minute.

Harder doubled the advantage from the spot after Norway midfielder Reiten was brought down by Ruesha Littlejohn in the box.

The tie was put beyond doubt when Reiten linked up with Kirby for a second, before Petzelberger's late penalty.
