Labour's shadow home secretary said Suella Braverman was attacking the police "when she should be backing them".
Yvette Cooper said the home secretary’s comments on protest marches planned for Armistice Day, this Saturday, calling for a ceasefire in the Middle East were “encouraging extremists on all sides”.
Ms Cooper was asking an urgent question in the Commons and was told by Policing Minister Chris Philp that Mrs Braverman was not able to respond in person as she was with a family member having an hospital operation.
